Course details for sunday the 21st of December are as follows The course is open for play but remains wet in some areas so please take caution and follow all traffic management rope PLEASE CARRY IF YOU CAN. *** 16TH FAIRWAY IS NOW A NO PLAY ZONE *** The general area inside the ropes is a no play zone. This includes the fairway and rough but not the bunkers. The no plau zone ends at the beginning of the approach. Relief must be taken outside of the ropes on either side of the fairway Trolleys are permitted, please stick to rough where possible. Buggies on a short course consisting of holes 1,2 18th only for those with medical dispensation. WHS compliant courses - Green and Maroon. Please replace divots, repair pitch marks and rake bunkers

Welcome to the Thorndon Park Golf Club website, our guide for members and visitors to the premier course and club in Essex.

Our course is a classic design from 1920 by Harry Shapland Colt, one of the greatest golf architects.

In 240 acres of an ancient deer park, he created a challenging course – sensitively lengthened over the years – for players of all standards, with the Palladian mansion of Thorndon Hall as the magnificent backdrop to the final hole.

Here, little more than two miles from the M25, is a place of tranquility, bounded by a vast country park, with mighty oaks adding their grandeur alongside the fairways and greens.
